This is Kenneth who graduated from Christ Church, Oxford with BA Honours in Physics in 2010. I currently work as an analyst in the pensions industry and am working towards becoming a qualified actuary. In addition, I held the top academic scholarship whilst at Dulwich College. I have had experience of tutoring Physics and Mathematics to students in preparation for A-level exams since my undergraduate days as well as helping Oxbridge applicants with their applications. I have a keen interest in music, playing in the Christ Church Orchestra and University College String Orchestra when I was at Oxford.

My teaching style is flexible and tailored to suit the needs of different students so the initial step would be to assess the student’s abilities and optimal mode of learning. The approach I usually find most effective is based on problem-solving since it is through working on problems that the student’s weaknesses can be most easily identified. Furthermore, the process of solving problems facilitates the understanding of new material and helps the consolidation of topics already covered. This approach is particularly useful for those aiming to apply to Oxbridge since the entrance interviews are based on technical questions designed to gauge the candidate’s thinking and response to the renowned tutorial system.

Over the years, I have tutored students in preparation for science and mathematics exams at both GCSE and A-level standard. I have also helped a number of students with applications to Oxbridge and other prestigious Russell Group universities.
