I was born in mainland China in 1995, into a Chinese family. We all moved to France when I was only 6 and since then, I have been growing up in the French educational system - going to French schools and taking all of my papers in French (including philosophy and literature) except for the British Option I took at the International High School of Strasbourg, which including History/Geography and English Literature in English. I personally identify as a French national, being a French citizen and having spent most of my life in France, exposed to French customs and culture. I scored an average score of 19/20 at the French Baccalaureate with the British Option - effectively meeting the offer the Oxford gave me (minimum of 16/20). I matriculated in Michaelmas 2013 and am currently a second-year historian, expected to graduate in 2016.

I like to have one-on-one tutoring sessions in which I can effectively assess the student's strengths and weaknesses in a very focused and straightforward way. As I am based in France, and Oxford terms are usually very intense, I prefer Skype tutorials over tutoring in person (unless you live in Oxford). I can tutor French at any level, History for university applications and interviews (I go to Corpus Christi College, Oxford). I can also give advice on UCAS and personal statements for university applications.

I have worked with the Oxford University Language Centre as a Volunteer Language Helper in French. This consisted in one-on-one tutoring sessions in which I would help the student with their spoken French for their Trinity-term presentations. Moreover, I worked as a History tutor at a Summer school, the Oxford Institute, this year. Classes consisted of a group of three students, ranging from a high school student to an adult working in accounting but very curious about History.

I am the current President-elect of the Oxford University Asia-Pacific Society, which promotes cultural events for Oxford students to understand the Asia-Pacific region better. I was on the Secretary's committee of the Oxford Union, Oxford's oldest and largest debating society, and am in the current general committee of the Oxford Guild Business Society.
