Hello! I am a first-year student attending New York University in Abu Dhabi majoring in chemistry and pre-medical studies with hopes of becoming a physiotherapist. During my secondary years, I attended Bangkok Patana School and Nexus International School Malaysia where I completed my IGCSEs and IB respectively. My results are as follows : IGCSE (Cambridge) Chemistry - A* Biology - A* Physics - A* Economics - A* Geography - A* Chinese (Foreign Language) - A* English Language - A English Literature - A Mathematics - A* IGCSE (Pearson) Physical Education - 9 AS Level (Cambridge) Mathematics - A IB : 44 HL Chemistry - 7 HL Biology - 7 HL Mathematics (Calculus option) - 7 SL English A (Language & Literature) - 7 SL Mandarin B - 7 SL Psychology - 7 TOK - B EE (Biology - secondary) - B
With older learners, I usually let them take charge. Though I will be able to prepare materials, I believe that taking initiative is that best way to go. As a result, in addition to clarifying unfamiliar material, I presume that students will come with questions they have already attempted but were unable to answer. However, I am also a big believer in having fun whilst studying, so I will incorporate games into the lesson plans!
I have taught many different students of varying ages. From teaching English to young children in year 2 to science and maths older teenagers undertaking their IGCSEs and IB Diploma. As a result, I am adaptable to individuals' learning styles and am patient with my mentees.
I love playing sports - especially basketball and volleyball! I also watch the occasional tv show and k-drama.
