Mohamed S.
Hi I'm Mohamed. I studied law at the University of Cambridge and I graduated in June. I will be starting my LPC in London in January. I have spent half my life in England and the other half in South Africa. For A Levels, I was ranked first place in South Africa for best across 3 Cambridge International A Levels. Because of my academic and Cambridge interview performance, I received a scholarship from the Cambridge Trust to study law at Cambridge
If a student requires help for university admissions (LNAT, Cambridge law test and Oxbridge interview), the tutoring sessions will take the form of mock interviews in which we will attempt to solve legal problems. We will rely on logic rather than any prior understanding of the law. Developing this technique of thinking like a lawyer (rather than memorising the law) is essential for success in the interviews and tests because there is no way to predict the area of law that the interviewer will focus on. If a student requires help for A Level or GCSE subjects we will begin by assessing what the student's goals for that subject are and if there are any areas of concern. If the student is struggling with the subject in question then I will come up with a lesson plan and attempt to break down the topic in order to make it more accessible. If the student wishes to excel in the subject (i.e. turn an A into an A*) then we will look at refining techniques and going into more depth so that the student can stand out.
I spent 8 months tutoring in my Gap Year. I tutored A Level History, Economics and Maths. I also have 3 younger siblings and have tutored them throughout my life.
During my time at university I was on the university boxing team and my college tennis team. I also did quite a bit of mooting and performed at spoken word events.
