Hi, I am Natalie and I am in my third year in Oxford doing mathematics and computer science. I remember how stressful my interviews were and I hope to make them a bit easier for you guys - it’s certainly less worrying once you have an idea as to what to expect! I have had a successful computer science interview at Imperial too, so can help with the application process. Please also do contact me for tutoring school subjects; I got 12 A*s at GCSE and 3A*s at A Level and would be happy to help. I am available both in term time and during the holidays, via Skype.
The approach to mock interviews is to simulate the exact style of Oxbridge/Imperial interview: start off with a potentially more straightforward idea and then look at the problem from a completely different angle. For A Level curriculum, I make sure that the student doesn't only know the algorithm of how to solve a problem, but also the fundamental concepts behind the proofs and various structures.
I have tutored A Level and GCSE Mathematics and Physics curriculum before and I really enjoyed explaining complicated concepts in maybe a slightly more straightforward way. I also ran extracurricular maths society for non standard maths problems, which are helpful when it comes to university preparation.
In my free time, I enjoy reading and the drama societies (there are so many of them!). I also like taking long walks around Oxford.
