My name is Youna Cho and I am a medical student studying at UCL (University College London). I have taken IGCSE and A-levels (Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Mathematics) and have been involved in a wide range of extra-curricular activities which I believe is of high value in university applications. I have 5 years of experience tutoring students (online and offline) at various stages GCSE, A-level and university applications.
My approach to tutoring for exams such as A-levels is past-paper based. I believe that this is the best method of helping students to do well in exams as it covers both the academic content of the test subject as well as exam-taking skills. From my experience with exams, I have learnt that there are common patterns in exam papers and learning this pattern is important in bringing out the student's full potential in an exam. I am also interested in helping students with university admissions such as personal statements and interviews. My past experience with this have been very successful, with the student (applying to study Medicine in the UK) receiving interview offers from every university she has applied to and eventually receiving final offers from 4 out of 5 after sitting her interviews.
