When it comes to my own outlook on life, I enjoy living in a perpetual game of questions, never hesitating to spend my time looking for the perfect explanations. It did not take me long to discover that what fascinates me most are both Biochemistry and Medicine. I had the honor to get a Distinction, representing my country in the International Biology Olympiad of 2015 and 2017. There, I met students with similar ambitions to mine and competed with probably the best young biologists in the world. This further motivated me to learn and work intensely so that one day I might again be part of such a culturally diverse community of scientists, one that I felt I belonged to.
I like to combine the theoretical part of teaching with many straightforward and practical examples. I use graphs, diagrams and images to be sure all the concepts are truly understood. I rely on the visual memory of my students, thus I also use videos and most of the times schemes for summarization.
1. I organized a Biology Club in my hometown while I was in the High School , where I prepared the best biologists in my hometown for national and international competitions. 2.This summer I activated as an intern in Shanghai for Cam Express, doing teaching and education consultancy for Chinese Students. As a result of three weeks of training I learned many new aspects about education and Chinese culture, also improving my teaching strategy a lot. I am looking forward applying with I learned in China.
In terms of extracurricular activities, I enjoy scuba diving, playing the guitar and photography. Also travelling is one of my biggest passion even since I was a child. From my perspective it is amazing how you can shape yourself whereby experiencing different cultures and places.
