I'm a 22 year-old Oxford graduate from Norfolk. I studied Chinese history, language and culture at Oxford, Peking University (北大) and National Taiwan University (台大). I'm currently working as a tutor with the aim of raising money to return to China and work as a journalist. I can tutor in English or Chinese.

I believe that to coach someone for Oxbridge interviews, the best approach is to cultivate a strong and broad interest in the subject applied for. It's important to talk at length with the student about their areas of interest as well as to explore new ones. Tutorials for Oxbridge admissions will be similar in form to the interviews themselves: informal but challenging discussions of the subject in question. I also like to suggest relevant readings for students to discuss weekly. Tuition for specific exams will focus on the given syllabi, as well as any particular related fields of interest that the student may have.

I coached two girls in tennis and English language every week whilst on my year abroad in Beijing. I also did ad hoc tutoring in English language to other Chinese students. At school, I was Head Boy, in which role I often helped teachers to lead large groups of students in activities in and out of the classroom. I also regularly gave motivational speeches and ran charity initiatives. More recently, I successfully coached a schoolfriend of mine in preparation for his interviews in Oriental Studies (Chinese) at Pembroke College, Oxford.

Aside from study and work, I enjoy football (playing and watching) and writing music on my guitar.
