Oxford
I'm an undergraduate student at Lady Margaret Hall, Oxford. Given that I have recently been through the admissions process I am happy to give lots of advice regarding the admissions process as well as what it would be like to study here. I can give insight into some of the practical aspects of life here and help with decisions such as choosing a college. I spent my gap year in Madrid, which means that I now speak fluent Spanish and am both familiar with colloquial and more literary language.
I am happy to give lessons in both French and Spanish be that grammar, oral classes or literature. I can be extremely flexible and tailor my lesson plan towards the pupil. I have kept my notes from A level and GCSE, which I can share with my pupils (such as vocabulary lists and essay plans) and I can give classes for a variety of levels, whether or not you are considering applying to Oxbridge. I am familiar with the admissions process of both Oxford and Cambridge and can help students prepare for both, which includes the admissions test and an interview. I have a passion for teaching languages and I hope that comes through in my lessons.
I have a range of teaching experience. While I was at school I mentored several students in French, assisting them to improve on their grammar and vocabulary. I have also helped and advised a range of people wanting to apply to Oxbridge, giving them advice on what to read, sharing my notes and going over their personal statements with them as well as conducting mock interviews.
I enjoy sports and have played on the university hockey team this year. I am also involved in volunteer work, which involves working with families and young people in neighbourhoods and communities.
