I am originally from London and study Engineering Science at the University of Oxford and I have always dedicated myself to helping others by imparting knowledge. In the future I want to use my engineering skills to make a positive social impact to individuals.

My first approach is to give the students greater confidence in themselves as I find often they will know the correct answer but doubt their abilities. I believe when a student has greater confidence in their abilities they can tackle more difficult problems. Another challenge is students who are afraid to get a question wrong. I constantly encourage that mistakes are okay, and they shouldn't be afraid to be to tackle a problem.

My first experience of teaching came at 16 years of age when I began teaching a group of my fellow peers GCSE maths. I then carried this on for a further two successive years. During my A levels I also began to tutor maths privately to a variety of students from 11plus, GCSE and A level Maths. During the school vacations I have worked at a local maths tuition centre with pupils from primary school level.

One of my biggest interests is cycling, which I have taken as a hobby from an early age. Last summer I took up the challenge of cycling over 200miles from London to Paris, to raise money for charity Action Against Hunger. In total I managed to raise over £3500. I also play Rugby, at for my university college and take part in Amateur Boxing to keep my fitness up. I am also involved with singing in my College choir. In the choir I sing bass and my biggest singing achievement has been singing at the Sheldonian theatre, which is a prestigious venue in Oxford. Outside of university I travel with a group of students to Paris to sing Christmas carols.
