I'm a PPE Graduate from St John's College, Oxford, now studying for a Master's degree in Journalism in London. My favourite parts of PPE were international relations and the philosophy of law (jurisprudence)

            I try to allow a tutee to get settled before slowing pushing the limits of what they know, to help build up new knowledge as well as putting what they know in unfamiliar context to reinforce principles that make sure they understand ideas fully rather than just in a narrow exam-focussed setting. For tasks that require recall, little and often is the best way to practise, and I will often ask for definitions at random in a topic to train a pupil to recall key terms whenever required.

            Working as a private tutor in London since September, teaching A Level economics as well as providing a number of students help with Oxford advice, admissions test sessions and mock interviews.  Over the summer of 2016, I worked full time at a summer school focussed on elite university admissions, teaching politics and economics sessions, as well as providing university advice and giving students mock interviews with detailed feedback.

            Playing squash and ultimate frisbee, international film (especially Italian), skiing, journalism and travel.
