I have three years’ experience tutoring the humanities, both online and in person. I have an excellent record of preparing students for entry to UK schools and universities. I also excel in building confidence after disappointing mock or module results. In Summer 2016, I helped a student go from a D to an A in A-Level History. The previous year, one of my students went from a U-grade mock to a B in GCSE English in 6 weeks. In addition to my BA from the University of Cambridge (2013), I also have an MA by Research from the University of Durham (2015, AHRC Scholarship). When not tutoring, I enjoy hiking, literature, and choral music. I am also a board member of the Congenital Anemia Network, Oxford.
I am an attentive, perceptive and committed tutor. I know what students need to succeed and I set my standards high – both for my pupils and for myself.
Three years' tutoring experience, offering the following subjects: A-Level/IB: English, History GCSE: English, History, French, Spanish, Music Admissions: Oxbridge and Russell Group admissions, Personal Statements GRE: Qualitative Reasoning, Analytic Writing
After completing my degrees at Cambridge and at Durham, I spent two years living in Oxford. I therefore consider myself to have excellent knowledge of all three of England's old collegiate towns! I am now based in London. When I am not tutoring, my interests include hiking, reading, and choral music. I am also a board member of the Congenital Anemia Network, a medical charity based in Oxford.
