I am final year student reading for Human Sciences at Mansfield College, Oxford. I grew up in both Australia and France, so am fluent in both languages. I passed my final school exams across both languages in the International Option of the French Baccalaureat. This covered a range of subjects extending from maths, physics, and biology, to philosophy and french and english literature, My main interest in the Human Sciences is looking at the problems we, as humans, are facing in the century from a pluri-disciplinary perspective: Can conflict be avoided in periods of water shortage? With the demographic rise of population will we have enough energy to sustain our current lifestyles? What aspects of our lives, such as the languages we speak, are determined by our genetic or social environements?

            My tutoring approach is formated to meet the needs of the student. I believe that each individual learns in a different way, so my aim is to initally figure out how a student learns best, and then create a programme around that. However, during my time tutoring I will cover the range of the Human Sciences subjects individually, as well as how different subjects relate to one another, as it is these very relationships which are essential to understand for interviews. I will also cover exam technique (more particularly how to deal with a vast array of exams on different subjects as is the case in human sciences), and how to best prepare to the Oxford tutorial environment, which is the model upon which Oxbridge interviews are based.

            I have mentored prospective students for Human Sciences over the course of my second year. I have also tutored in both French and English for various exams (French Baccalarueat English, and English in schools in India).      More generally, I have mentored students in their Oxbridge applications - from help with personal statements to interview practise, with several successful candidates already.

            I was the Mens Rowing Captain at Mansfield College this season 2015/2016 where I taught all novices to row. I am also interested in close-up magic and guitar.
