I have recently graduated from University of Cambridge after studying Mathematics for 4 years there. I achieved a Distinction (equivalent of First) in my last year (the Masters programme). My main areas of interest are Discrete Probability and Dynamical Systems, but I have a solid background in both applied and pure subjects, some of my favorites being Combinatorics, Number Theory and Cryptography. In my last year I wrote a research essay titled "Cutoff for the Ising model and noisy voter". Originally from Russia, I lived in Singapore since I was 12. I completed my IGCSEs in one year with all A and A* and went on to get 44/45 points in IB with an A in my Mathematics Extended Essay. I have also completed the Mathematics and Further Mathematics A-level modules. My STEP results were S/S/1 for Papers 1, 2 and 3 respectively.
I have done pretty well and managed to get into Cambridge with little external help. I know what it takes to do well, and I am keen to share that knowledge. Over the years I have tutored several students whom I've helped with STEP, IB and A-level exams as well as Oxbridge applications.
I have been a Tutor on GuruMe for over a year. I was also a tutor on the online platform Exampl throughout 2015.
