I am a second year student at Lincoln College, Oxford and went to Latymer Upper School in London. I spend my time reading, running and watching a lot of good (and a lot of very bad) television. My time is split between Oxford and London but I also like to travel, and have spent many summers exploring Europe by rail. My favourite book is Camus' 'L'Etranger', I only mention this because it is often something people ask.
I am a passionate writer, reader and learner and see tutoring as a chance to both give and receive wisdom, it is an involved, engaging and most importantly, exciting process. I am outgoing and dedicated to helping people reach their full potential and do all I can to get them the result they deserve while also being realistic and critical in equal measure. I think the only way to fully prepare yourself for university (particularly Oxbridge) entry exams and interviews is to practice being tested to your full ability. The benefit of having somebody already within the system who has gone through the ordeal of application so recently is that I can offer honest, accurate and up-to-date reflections on the system. The key to an English application in particular is the confident critical and analytical abilities of the student, and this is what I, hopefully, can provide advice on.
I have three years experience tutoring students of a wide age range from 7 years old to 25 years old and everything in-between. I have successfully mentored the vast majority of these clients to a level which won them a place at their chosen school/college/university and have been given very positive feedback from all the individuals that I have tutored over the years.
I am very interested in film, theatre and poetry. In my spare time I do a lot of photography and journalistic writing, which I hope one day to follow into a career in documentary filmmaking.
