I am a second year Mathematics student at St. Hugh's College with a strong academic record. I passed the first year exams with a high 2:1 and am predicted first for the finals. I can provide help with the above subjects (Maths, Physics, and Chemistry) as well as with general admissions advice or personal statements. As a University of Chicago acceptee, I can also give tips on the US admission process.     My scores:  -39 on the IB Diploma Programme (Maths HL 7; Physics HL 7; Chemistry HL 6; Japanese A SL 6; English A HL 5; ITGS SL 6)  -800 on SAT II Mathematics Level 2  -800 on SAT II Physics  -800 on SAT II Chemistry     I can tutor in person (if you are in Oxford) or over Skype.

            My main goal will be to help you visualise the material you will be learning. This will help you have a "map" inside your head, so you can see the flow of the information, instead of just bits and pieces. This, I believe, is key to the understanding and retention of information. I will usually achieve this by giving lots of comparisons and examples.     Of course, everybody is different, so I will cater to each person's strengths and weaknesses.

            I have taught all the above subjects to students in my high school back in Japan and surrounding schools for 4 years.  Last summer, I have also taught IB Mathematics over Skype.

            I play basketball and goalkeeper for football. I have also been involved in debating and MUN. Also love playing the guitar!
