I am a second year undergraduate student at the London School of Economics. I have studied a variety of modules in my time here, including Political Theory, The Arab Israeli Conflict, Anthropology, Foreign Policy Analysis and International Organisations. I am friendly, outgoing and able to communicate things clearly in presentations and on a one to one basis.

In my experience, my best tutoring results have come from allowing the student to identify their own key areas of weakness and working with them to slot in my own expertise. I believe that this process is vital, as it promotes the self-reflection of the student and also develops a tutor student relationship that is one of partnership, and therefore potentially more likely to succeed. In this way, I believe I practise a bespoke approach to tutoring.

I have had much experience working with young people as a leader in the Scout movement, which developed my ability to communicate complex topics, such as justice or religion, as simply and effectively as possible. I also worked with several younger students at my high school in order to develop their personal statements to the highest level possible. During this time, I also worked with students sitting GCSEs, whilst I was sitting my A Levels, to run through aspects of their courses in support of teachers running revision classes. I also provided 1 to 1 tuition for an 11 year old family friend through out his Key Stage 2 Maths and English assessments. Further to this experience, I also have experience working with female refugees from Afghanistan and Sri Lanka, teaching them everyday english in order that they could integrate into British society and fulfil their potential.

I have wide ranging extracurricular interests - I am currently an active Vice President in my university's Amnesty International Society, and in the past have coordinated large scale fundraising campaigns for school building in Africa. I was also a Scout leader in my home town, and enjoy following the political issues of the day - both in the UK and around the world.
