Hello!  My name is Jacob, and I'm a recent graduate of Oriel College, Oxford. I studied Classics and English for three years. My interests cover the Renaissance, Modernism, Theological Literature and Epic. I'm a keen 'culturalist', and involving European literatures and the Visual Arts is part of what I do!

            Tutoring is about the student thriving intellectually, whilst remaining emotionally stable. In a limited period of time, it's necessary to create real situations that act as 'practices' for the kinds of conversations one experiences in interviews and tutorials. These are not about 'knowledge' - anyone can find out a fact on Wikipedia - but about ideas, rhetoric and style. Understanding this is the key to success.
