I'm a fourth year medical student at New College, originally from London. I have always been interested in science and since secondary school have undertaken research projects at The Royal Institution and The National Institute of Medical Research in Mill Hill. I hope to share my passion for science with my tutees.
With each student, I hope to find a style of teaching that best enables them to understand and remember the topics as well as show them why Biology, Chemistry and Maths are interesting and relevant! To support my teaching, I like to use past exam papers to illustrate how knowledge of that topic might be tested and also encourage my students to ask questions either if something is unclear or if their interest takes them beyond the scope of the syllabus.
I have had a variety of teaching experience ranging from giving weekly Latin lessons to Year 6 students, helping out in my school GCSE Biology club and tutoring GCSE Biology and Chemistry intensively over the summer holidays. I have also advised three prospective medical student applicants on their interview preparation, all of whom were successfully accepted by Oxford University.
In my free time I like to go running and also enjoy playing netball and handball. I also enjoy playing the violin in orchestras and smaller ensemble groups!
